We’re officially competent!

2018 has been an incredible year for IT For Starters – we’ve continued to grow, added a new face to our support team and settled into our new offices. The icing on the cake, and confirmation of our continued growth and expansion, was our qualification to become a Microsoft Silver Partner.

There’s plenty of administrative reasons for us to take up this offer but, more importantly for us and our clients (and potential clients), is that this certifies our competency in both selling and supporting Microsoft products. For a small team, such as ours, this is a huge endorsement of all our hard work and efforts.

From our point of view, this year has seen the adoption of Microsoft Office 365 as the default tool for start-ups and SME’s. It allows companies to have more than just professional and secure infrastructure for email, contacts and calendars, but advanced technologies such as Sharepoint, for document management and sharing, and professional communication features like Skype for Business, to make small, and sometimes spread-out personnel, all feel part of one unified team.

To further build increase our Microsoft credentials, we’ve been deploying their Azure technologies to clients. From simple Azure Backup solutions, which have become incredibly cost effective, to extending Windows Active Directory Domains to Azure to provide resource access to new branch offices across the globe without the need for deploying physical equipment.

And there we have it – we can finish 2018 knowing we’re officially competent – which is always nice!
